Open Sessions
Savannah Open Model offers structured, affordable figure drawing from the live model.
Unless otherwise noted, all sessions on the calendar are Open Sessions.
Sundays move through gesture, medium-length poses, and one extended pose (40–60 minutes).
Thursdays begin with a warm-up (7 × 3-minute poses), followed by a sustained long pose for deeper study. Lighting remains consistent once the long pose begins.
Session Contribution: $20
Open to all levels.
Closed Sessions
Closed Sessions are smaller, pre-arranged sessions developed by a directing artist in coordination with the program coordinator.
They may include specific pose requests, controlled lighting, or a thematic format. Participation is organized in advance. When listed on the calendar, additional artists may join if space allows.
Directing Artist Contribution: $55
Participating Artists: $20
Outdoor & Special Sessions
Occasionally, SOM hosts outdoor or competition-style sessions in public or semi-public settings.
These sessions may involve changing light conditions and adaptive composition. Details are outlined in advance on the calendar.
